Bhad Bhabie is holding Dr. Phil partly responsible for the alleged abuse she suffered while attending a treatment camp he recommended.
The rapper, who was 13 when she featured in an episode of Dr. Phil's talk show, was sent to Turn-About Ranch in Utah by her parents at his suggestion. The 18-year-old is now demanding that he apologize for the abuse, which she detailed in a new YouTube video.
"Dr. Phil, I am going to give you from now until April 5 to issue an apology, not only to me, but to Hannah or any other child you sent to Turn-About or any other program like this, and if you don’t I’m going to handle things my way," Bhabie said. Hannah Archuleta recently filed a lawsuit claiming she was sexually assaulted multiple times by a male staff member at Turn-About Ranch in 2019, according to Fox News.
In her video, Bhabie alleges that she was unaware her parents had decided to send her to the camp and was taken there in the middle of the night by "transporters" who handcuffed her, put her into a car, and drove her to the Utah ranch. For the first three days she was allegedly placed in an open tipi where she was prohibited from laying down or showering.
"This place is all about taking away privileges. Like OK yeah, the phone is a privilege, the TV all that, yeah," she said. "They take away necessity privileges like sleeping on a bed, good food, not being cold."
Bhabie further claimed that those attending the camp were often punished if they brought up any complaints, even if it was regarding another child's safety. If they did air any grievances, they were reportedly made to do manual labor and were physically restrained if they objected.
Bhabie stated that she was reluctant to come forth with her story because she had no evidence but finally did so because she was inspired by Archuleta.
"I'm not really sure why Dr. Phil still sends kids here, it really doesn't make sense," she concluded in her video. "Are you trying to help them or are you trying to hurt them even more? I mean we all know he's a phony as it is, but like, don't be sending kids somewhere just to make it look like you're trying to do something."
