Burglars targeted Dr. Dre's house after they reportedly learned that the rapper had been hospitalized.

News that Dre was rushed to the hospital for a possible aneurysm broke on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning at around 2 a.m. four men attempted to break into his Pacific Palisades property, law enforcements revealed to TMZ.

Security was able to intervene before the men were able to reach the main structure and contacted police, who swiftly arrived at the scene. The suspects attempted to flee but law enforcement gave chase. They were able to apprehend the men, who were charged for attempted burglary. They are currently in custody.

Police told TMZ that the suspects saw a window of opportunity after they heard that Dre was in hospital and his house was empty.

Dre was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday and at one point was in intensive care, a source revealed to Los Angeles Times. He is now in a stable condition after undergoing testing, a second source said. The legendary rap artists shared the news to Instagram.

"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon," he captioned a black and white photo of himself sitting in a recording studio. "Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"

Fellow rapper L.L Cool J confirmed that Dre was on the mend.

"Dr is recovering nicely," he tweeted.
