Twitter Users Slam Bill Maher for Urging Recession to Oust Trump

Outraged Twitter users Saturday ripped comedian Bill Maher for calling for a recession — even "if that hurts people" — to get President Donald Trump out of the White House.

"That’s my question," the HBO "Real Time" host began on his Friday show. "I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point.

"And, by the way, I’m hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy.

"So, please, bring on the recession," he suggested. "Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession, or you lose your democracy."

Twitter soon lit up with angry posts:

In 2008 I lost my house and job because of the recession.

Bill Maher hoping there is another is the most idiotic and ridiculous thing I have heard no matter who is in office.
