The lawyer for a disabled veteran who was facing a huge bureaucratic snafu reports everything has worked out all right and credits Newsmax with helping to save his friend's life.
Army veteran Kyle Nuss discovered his credit cards, debit cards, and bank account were frozen and his health insurance canceled because the Social Security Administration thought he was dead — it was his father who had died.
Nuss’ lawyer, Chris Reid, was having difficulty getting the matter cleared, and the situation was entering the critical stage because while Nuss was battling the federal government, he also was fighting cystic fibrosis.
That’s when Newsmax entered the picture and gave Nuss and Reid a national platform to air their story.
Newsmax TV’s John Cardillo tweeted a link to Nuss' story. It went viral and was retweeted by none other than former Trump White House strategist Sebastian Gorka with a message saying, “This is America. We can fix this.”
On Friday, Reid reported that thanks to the publicity, he received a message that Helen Ferre, White House Director of Media Affairs, would be reaching out soon.
