Devon Still announced on Instagram Monday that his 4-year-old daughter Leah's cancer is persisting after treatment for Stage 4 neuroblastoma, which likely means more treatment for the little girl that NFL fans rallied around this season.
The Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle's story of his daughter's condition struck a chord on social media during the football season after he posted an Instagram his pep talk he gave her while driving to a cancer treatment last fall.
The Bengals, who initially cut Still, retained him on their practice squad after learning Leah Still had cancer so he could maintain his insurance and she could continue treatment. Still posted his most recent update on Instagram.
The Cincinnati Enquirer wrote that Leah Still was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma in June. Sale of Devon Still's No. 75 Cincinnati Bengals jersey raised nearly $1.4 million for the Cincinnati Children's Hospital to benefit pediatric cancer research.
Various people on social media offered their support online.
