House Democrats are worried that President Barack Obama will ignore their views on the budget once more, as the White House continues its negotiations with congressional leaders over raising the debt limit,
Politico reports.
The concern is that Obama will agree to excessive cuts in government spending that destroy the social safety net, gut entitlements, and refrain from raising taxes.

“What I’m concerned about — it’s not that I don’t trust them (the Obama administration) -- is they figure, ‘Let’s get this thing the hell out of the way, and if we gotta suffer from our base, let’s do it now,’” said New Jersey Democratic
Rep. Bill Pascrell, a member of both the Budget and Ways and Means committees.
