Kenny G gave a performance on a Delta flight Saturday, but opinions are mixed on whether it's the best or worst thing to happen on a flight recently.
According to ABC Action News, the musician was seated next to a flight attendant who had lost her daughter to cancer. She asked him to play, and the flight's head attendant told the travelers they would get an impromptu concert if they could raise $1,000 for Relay for Life, a cancer charity.
The flight from Tampa to Los Angeles raised more than $2,000 and were serenaded by the famous saxophonist.
“I have to brush my teeth first, before I play my saxophone,” Kenny G announced to his captive audience, Spin reported.
The crowd reportedly seemed to enjoy the impromptu performance, with many taking pictures and recording the experience on their phones.
Twitter seemed more focused on the forced aspect of the show than about the opportunity to hear Kenny G and raise money for cancer.
Delta was appreciative, however.
