"Dancing With The Stars" judge and "The Talk" co-host Carrie Ann Inaba has tested positive for the coronavirus. Taking to social media on Thursday, the TV personality revealed her diagnosis and explained that she was "resting and taking care of myself" while in quarantine.
"I have been in a very safe environment following all the guidelines and safety protocols and it still found its way to me," Inaba wrote in an Instagram post. "So, this is a friendly reminder to be extra careful this holiday season. Wear your masks, socially and physically keep your distance and wash your hands. Take care everyone. I’ll keep you updated on my journey."
In a video message, Inaba said she was suffering a fever, bad cough, and "lots of aches and pains." She urged her followers to be "extra, extra careful" because "you don't want this."
In a message from "The Talk," co-host Sheryl Underwood sent love and well wishes to Inaba and said she was praying for her "full recovery." Underwood also explained that "out of an abundance of caution" co-host Sharon Osbourne, who tested negative for COVID-19, would be doing the show from home.
Inaba joins a long list of celebrities who have contracted the coronavirus. On Thursday, Ellen DeGeneres also revealed she had tested positive for the virus but was "feeling fine." She explained that anyone who was in close contact with her has been notified, adding that she's following “all proper CDC guidelines."
In a statement, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" producer Telepictures noted that production on the daytime talk show has been paused until January following DeGeneres' announcement.
