In a Dallas office shooting Monday morning, a man targeted his female boss, shooting her before killing himself.
The shooting took place at a Dallas, Texas, office building shortly after 10 a.m., and SWAT team officers, firefighters and federal agents responded to the shooting and evacuated the building, according to NBCDFW. Two ambulances also were dispatched to the scene.
Fox 4 News reported the female victim had died.
The office building is in North Dallas, but the company has not yet been identified. The building was declared safe at 12:49 p.m.
A police officer was injured by debris from the building, Fox News reported. At least one window was broken.
A woman who worked in the building where the shooting took place said she heard gunshots while on a customer phone call.
“At the same time the shots happened my boss directed everybody to get in the corner and get down low,” Dionne Anglin told Fox 4. “People started screaming. SWAT came in and told everybody to get out. They had guns pointed. Everybody had to come out of our office with our hands up and come down 10 flights of stairs.”
