Clayne Crawford has addressed allegations of bad behavior on the set of "Lethal Weapon."
The show's co-lead posted a lengthy apology to Instagram a day after Deadline reported that his history of toxic behavior was threatening the future of the Fox reboot.
According to the report, Crawford had been disciplined several times in the past, and his emotionally abusive behavior was creating a hostile environment on the show's set and forcing directors to consider a recasting.
Addressing the accusations, Crawford confirmed that he had been reprimanded twice in the past season of "Lethal Weapon."
The first incident saw the actor react with anger over working conditions that he felt were not safe under the leadership of a guest director.
Crawford said he met with human resources following the falling out and apologized for the conflict and underwent studio-appointed therapy.
The second reprimanding arose after an actor on the set was hit by a piece of shrapnel from an effect during an episode that Crawford was directing.
He explained that the actor felt unsafe despite all safety precautions and procedures being followed.
"I absolutely love, respect and care for my crew and cast, and would never intentionally jeopardize so many jobs," Crawford said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I am incredibly sorry if my passion for doing good work has ever made anyone feel less than comfortable on our set, or feel less than celebrated for their efforts. Furthermore, I apologize to all the crew and cast for any negative attention 'Lethal Weapon' is receiving because of these incidents."
Over 4.25 million viewers tune in to watch the "Lethal Weapon" adaptation of the Mel Gibson-Danny Glover film franchise, TVLine noted.
There has been no word on the release of third season and Fox has not responded to the reports as of Wednesday.
