'Christopher Robin' New Trailer Warms Internet's Heart

By    |   Friday, 25 May 2018 04:08 PM EDT

The new trailer for "Christopher Robin" debuted Friday and the internet can't wait for the movie to come out in August.

The new full-length Disney feature film will be released Aug. 3, but its star Ewan McGregor gave TV viewers a glimpse of what can be expected when he played the trailer on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Friday.

As E! News says, “the new ‘Christopher Robin’ trailer will give you all the feels.”

McGregor plays the title role, but an adult version of Christopher Robin, now living in London and dealing with the rigors of balancing family and career.

That’s when he’s reintroduced to his old friend Winnie-the-Pooh, who whisks the harried businessman back to Hundred Acre Wood, where he rediscovers his sense of wonder.

McGregor walked on to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" carrying his own Winnie-the-Pooh plush toy.

"I got very used to seeing him every day at work over four and a half months, and I'm rather fond of him now," he explained to his host and the audience.

"Our story takes place, obviously, when Christopher Robin is my age — which is older than seven," he continued. "So, he's older now, Pooh, and he's got a bit of wear and tear on him, which I think is lovely."

Pooh fans loved the trailer and can't wait for the film to arrive.
