Chrissy Teigen has shared a health update after spending time in the hospital. The model revealed Thursday that she was at home recovering after undergoing endometriosis surgery.
"I'm OK, I'm home now," she said in a video posted to her Instagram stories. "All numbed up. Watching Larry David, 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.'"
Speaking about the healing process, Teigen said that, although she was usually "good" after the procedure, "this one's a toughie." She explained that her "whole belly" was numb and would likely stay that way for the next couple of days.
"It makes it hard, every little cough and stuff," she shared. "But it is truly still better than the contractions and the pain of endo."
Endometriosis occurs when the endometrial tissue builds up outside of the uterus, according to Healthline. Recent studies have suggested there is a link between the condition and an increased risk of miscarriage. Teigen and husband John Legend lost their unborn son, Jack, in September. He was due to be born this week and Teigen has been expressing her pain over the loss on social media.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a series of throwback photos from when she and Legend recorded his music video for the hit single "Wild." She was 10-weeks pregnant at the time and planning to announce the news for the first time.
"I knew the video would take a bit to get together so thought it would be cute to share our news with the world through the ol classic hand on belly trick at the end," she captioned the images. "I could have never imagined what would happen over the next 10 weeks...not sure I’ll ever be able to watch that video again without sobbing but I hope he feels my tears and knows we miss him so."
