Chris Pine, who played Captain Kirk in the latest “Star Trek” movies, was accused of DUI in New Zealand after leaving a celebration for finishing the filming of "Z for Zachariah."

Pine, 33, who also is known for his role as Jack Ryan in the movie "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit," is set to appear in court on Monday, The Associated Press reported.

According to New Zealand's The Press, Pine attended a wrap party with about 80 actors and crew members on Feb. 28 at the Blue Pub in Methven. He left the party around 2:30 a.m. on March 1 with his girlfriend, model Iris Bjork Johannesdottir, witnesses said.

“He probably thought he was fine to drive. I thought he was,” the bar’s manager, Casey Crawford, told The Press.

Crawford said that the party was well controlled and had a good crowd. Pine drank beer and posed for photographs with bar staff and locals.

"I thought he was really friendly. A really, really nice guy," Crawford said.

Pine was stopped after driving through a checkpoint, according to TMZ. His blood alcohol level reportedly was .08 percent, the minimum for being legally drunk in New Zealand.

Pine was in New Zealand for the filming of "Z for Zachariah." The movie, which also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Margot Robbie, is about a teen girl who survives a nuclear war. It’s set for release next year.
