Chicago shirtless jogger Ethan Renoe has made hearts swoon on social media after he was interviewed during a television report on the unseasonably warm temperatures there, but was that before or after he revealed he is a virgin?
Renoe was spotted running along Lake Michigan on Sunday night and was interviewed by
WGN-TV's Tahman Bradley. He confessed that he loved running in the rain and that he was single.
The TV station struck social media gold as more than a million people viewed the interview with Renoe on
Facebook. The post also received 17,000 likes and 9,000 shares.
"It's really been crazy," Renoe told WGN-TV the next day. "I have about 900 friend requests (on Facebook) right now."
TMZ said Renoe, 24, is a recent graduate of Moody Bible Institute and he is a virgin.
"Ethan Renoe tells TMZ he's been single since 2008, but all that's likely to change since he's been hit up by a couple thousand women after WGN posted the clip of Ethan for a run Sunday in Chicago in the rain ... without a shirt," said the celebrity news outlet.
"Ethan says he's serious about finding himself a woman, but says he's still going to wait for his honeymoon to tear up his v-card. As for the rest of his dating profile – Ethan's into photography, personal training, nannying, construction, teaching and, of course ... running topless in the rain."
Renoe, who Bradley described as a Hugh Jackman look-a-like, told WGN in a separate interview on Sunday that he is close to his faith.
"I'm a Christian," Renoe said about the Internet attention. "I really don't pay attention to that stuff. I really love the Lord and Jesus and everything he's done for me."
Social media had no shortage of responses to Renoe.
