Mexican multibillionaire
Carlos Slim says he is certain a three-day work week will become a reality, he told CNN Money; he just doesn’t know when.
"I am sure it will happen," he said.
Slim, 74, said he favors 11-hour shifts and a retirement age of 75. He said machines would make up most of the labor and services would operate as much as possible.
"You should have more time for you during all of your life — not when you're 65 and retired," Slim told CNNMoney.
The telecom tycoon is said to be worth about $83 billion and rivals Bill Gates for the title of the world's richest man.
Slim first raised the idea for a three-day work week during a conference in Paraguay in the summer, when he said such a radical overhaul would reinvigorate how we live and be positive for the economy.
Twitter users seemed skeptical.
