Cameron Douglas and his girlfriend Viviane Thibes have welcomed baby No. 2 into the world. The actor, whose father is Michael Douglas, announced the arrival of his son on Tuesday in an Instagram post. "Touch down planet earth. Welcome my Son...Ryder T. Douglas," Cameron captioned a photo of the family of four. He and Thibes also share 3-year-old daughter Lua Izzy.
In the image, Cameron is standing next to Thibes, who is holding their newborn. Next to her sits Lua. The expression on her face drew the attention of Michael and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
"So happy for Vivian and you. Don't think Lua is sure about this yet! What a holiday present," replied Michael.
"Lua's Face! like.....'whatever..........' Hilarious! Congrats!!" added Zeta-Jones.
Cameron and Thibes also celebrated Lua's birthday three days before the birth of her new brother. Cameron wished his daughter a happy birthday on Instagram.
"Happy Birthday angel. Love you more than words can accurately express! 3 til infinity," he captioned a black and white image of Lua.
Last year, Cameron opened up to People about how his daughter helped him overcome his addiction to cocaine and heroin.
"Having my daughter gives me a whole new perspective on life," he said. "My daughter is a source of inspiration. Hopefully she will see her father has accomplished a lot and is doing good things and maybe she’ll be proud of my journey."
Cameron has been vocal about his drug addiction. In January, he recounted turning his life around during an appearance on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."
"I believe the moment where I started to change direction was when I was given my second sentence," he said of his time in prison, according to Fox News. "I was in solitary confinement and I felt something cracking or breaking inside of me."
Cameron said he was standing at a fork in the road.
"At that point, I knew I had two paths left open to me, and one path I probably would not have made it back from," he said. "The other one gave me some purpose ... to put myself in the best possible position once I was released from prison to make a life for myself."
