Caitlyn Jenner Bathroom Signs Spark Backlash in Texas

A Texas restaurant was criticized by some for using bathroom signs depicting images of Caitlyn Jenner before and after her transition.

Dodie's Place Cajun Bar & Grill in Allen, Texas, near Dallas posted a photo on Facebook in August showing the "newest members of the Dodie's crew," and depicting Jenner before and after her male-to-female transition on the bathroom doors.

The photos didn't attract much attention, according to the New York Daily News, until Dallas Morning News reporter Dom DiFurio shared the photo to Twitter on Oct. 30.

As some on Twitter, including the transgender mayor of a nearby town, called owner Kyle McPherson transphobic and expressed their outrage at his actions, loyal customers defended the doors as a joke.
