Country music star Cady Groves' official cause of death has been revealed. The singer, who was known for her hit singles "This Little Girl" and "Oil and Water," passed away at age 30 on May 2. It has now been revealed that her death was due to complications of chronic ethanol abuse, according to an autopsy report from the Davidson County Medical Examiner's Office in Tennessee that was obtained by Fox News.

The manner of her death was ruled as "natural" causes.

Cady's roommate discovered her "unresponsive in bed" at her home in Brentwood, Tennessee, according to the medical examiner. Officers responding to the scene reported at the time that there were "no obvious signs of trauma, foul play, suicide or overdose" and her brother, Cody, later confirmed Cady had passed away from natural causes.

Cody announced his sister's death in a tweet that referenced his two brothers Casey and Kelly, who died in 2007 and 2014.

"Rest In Peace little sis. Hope you're reunited with @kellydgroves and Casey," he wrote, adding in a follow-up tweet that Cady had been in the process of releasing a new album at the time of her death.

Shortly after her death, close friend Ryan Williams opened up about the singer to Fox News.

"She had so many tragic things happen to her in her life. There was always someone's birthday that wasn't around anymore, like her brothers. There was always kind of like a dark shadow around her," he said, adding that despite all the pain in her life, Cady would "be remembered for always making jokes."
