Buzz Aldrin took an epic photo on a recent trip to Stonehenge, and posted it to Twitter on Monday to promote his effort to colonize Mars.
In the picture, which garnered thousands of retweets, the 85-year-old former astronaut is posing like Clark Kent in his famous G.Y.A.T.M. T-shirt, short for "Get You’re A** To Mars."
As Time magazine reported, the second man to walk on the moon has been advocating as of late for a plan to colonize Mars. He released a book on the subject, "Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration," in 2013, wrote a piece for Time magazine on such a mission last year, and this year testified before a Senate committee.
The GYATM T-shirt itself is available for purchase — he even has one for babies that reads "Generation Mars" — and the sale of the apparel benefits Aldrin's ShareSpace Foundation. The foundation advocates for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs in schools.
