Buck Zomhofe: 'Rock n' Roll' Wrestler Guilty of Molesting Daughter

By    |   Friday, 07 March 2014 11:41 AM EST

Former pro wrestler Buck "Rock n' Roll" Zomhofe was convicted of criminal sexual conduct this week and was slapped with another charge after he tried to escape from the courtroom Thursday.

Zomhofe, 62, could spend the rest of his life in prison after he was found guilty Wednesday of 12 felony counts of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly molesting his daughter, now 29, an estimated 1,800 times between 1999 and 2011, Minneapolis City Pages reported.

His rap sheet now includes an "escape from custody" charge after the ex-wrestler, who used a boom box in the ring in the late '80s and early '90s, attempted to flee from the courthouse restroom shortly after the verdict was read.

According to the criminal complaint filed by the victim, Zomhofe began sexually abusing her when she went to live at his Cyrus, Minn., home in 1999 when she was 15. She finally reported the molestation in 2011 after she left the home and started therapy, according to the West Central Tribune.

Zomhofe, however, denied all the charges when he testified Tuesday. He acknowledged sharing a bed with his daughter but said the relationship was never sexual.

The former wrestler has been in and out of jail multiple times for other sexual abuse charges. In 1986, he was jailed for sexual misconduct involving a minor and he also served 36 months in prison after being convicted of fourth-degree sexual conduct with another underage girl in 1989, according to SB Nation's Cageside Seats wrestling blog.
