Broadway and TV celebrities will conduct a benefit for the Parkland shooting victims called “Broadway With Love: A Benefit Concert for Parkland, USA.”
Matthew Morrison (“Glee”), Rachel Bloom, Wayne Brady, and cast members from “Hamilton,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” and “The Band’s Visit” will perform at the concert, Deadline reported. Some of the songs being performed were written by Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students with help from pro composers including Joe Iconic and Drew Gasparini.
The dance troupe Parkland victim Jaime Guttenberg belonged to before the shooting will also perform, Deadline reported. Ten thousand tickets were donated to the families of MSD students and staff so they could attend.
The benefit will take place Monday, April 16 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, and is being produced by Tony and Grammy Award winner Van Dean and Yael Silver, as well as other Tony Award winning producers, Page Six reported.
Broadway With Love concerts also were held after the Pulse nightclub and Sandy Hook shootings.
Many of the performers and others involved tweeted about the show.
