Brad Pitt probably didn't expect an episode of "Fight Club" to break out on the "Maleficent" red carpet this week, but that's exactly what happened when a man allegedly jumped a security barrier and smacked the movie star in the face.
Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the actor's longtime partner and star of Disney's new "Sleeping Beauty" revamp, were signing autographs near the entrance of Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre Wednesday night when the
man leaped over a barricade, Variety reported.

The man, identified as known Hollywood prankster Vitalii Sediuk, reportedly approached the A-listers and struck 50-year-old Pitt before security guards wrestled him away. KTLA later tweeted a photo of 25-year-old Sediuk in police custody.
The Los Angeles Times reported that police booked Sediuk on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after he was taken to the police department's Hollywood Station around 10 p.m. He is reportedly being held on $20,000 bail.
The stunt was just the latest in Sediuk's long history of disrupting stars' red-carpet appearances. Two weeks ago at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Sediuk stooped down to sneak under the long dress of actress America Ferrera at the
"How to Train Your Dragon 2" premiere, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was subsequently arrested.
At January's Screen Actors Guild awards, Sediuk reportedly grabbed Bradley Cooper by the leg and hugged his crotch while the Oscar-nominated actor posed for a picture with
Michael Pena and Mandy Patinkin, according to E! News.
Sediuk's stunts first made headlines in 2012 when he was famously slapped by actor Will Smith, whom he tried to kiss during the Russian premiere of "Men in Black III."
