Brad Pitt has been visiting Angelina Jolie in a desperate attempt to make peace with his ex-wife outside of the courtroom. The two have been locked in a bitter custody battle over their six kids but Pitt wants to resolve things, which is why he has been spending time at Jolie's Los Angeles home, where she lives with their children Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.
A source revealed to The Sun that Pitt was spotted driving into the estate last week.
"He stayed for around an hour and a half and then he sped away from a private exit he doesn't normally use," the insider said.
Things have turned messy in court as the case drags on. Recently, both Pitt and Jolie called on a domestic violence expert to testify in court. Despite their feud, Pitt is doing everything in his power to make peace with Jolie for the sake of their children, the source said.
"He's still desperate for all the ugliness to end, even though it's like pulling teeth seeing eye to eye with Angelina about virtually anything these days," the insider explained.
"This ugliness has gone on way too long and it's his greatest wish for them to resolve as much as possible outside of the courtroom. Whatever gets decided by the judge, they'll be co-raising the kids for the rest of their lives. He's willing to be the bigger person, and it's a positive sign that he's spending time with Angie again, for sure."
News of their secret meetups come days after it was reported that Pitt split with his model girlfriend Nicole Poturalski. The pair had only been dating for several weeks when they decided to call things off.
Rumors first emerged that they were an item in August after they were seen leaving Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport together. It later emerged that Poturalski was married to Roland Mary but that they were in an open relationship and he was not concerned about his wife's romantic endeavors.
