A baby boy was in stable condition Friday after his aunt and Good Samaritan bystanders stopped on a busy Florida highway Thursday to give him CPR and get medical help when he stopped breathing.
Traffic on the Dolphin Expressway came to a standstill when a woman stopped her car and got out,
screaming that her baby had stopped breathing, the Miami Herald reported.

Herald photographer Al Diaz was in the car right behind the woman, Pamela Rauseo, and he jumped out of his car and ran through lanes of traffic to find a police officer.
When he returned to the scene, Diaz took photos of being done on the baby, and it’s those dramatic photos that are going viral, depicting a heart-wrenching scene as 5-month-old Sebastian de la Cruz fought for his life.
Rauseo is Cruz’s aunt, and she told reporters, “My sister had trusted me with him.”
Passerby Lucila Godoy, 34, stopped her car and rushed to help Rauseo, beginning CPR on the infant who was born prematurely and suffered from respiratory problems, the Herald said.
When police officer Amauris Bastidas arrived on the scene, he took over CPR, pumping the baby’s small chest while Rauseo breathed into the child’s mouth, the Herald said. At one point, the baby started breathing, but then stopped again. Rauseo resumed CPR, and Diaz captured that moment on film.

ood Samaritan Godoy told CBS News, "I'm not a hero, I just did what you would have done, I'm sure, if you were there and you see what I saw. You would have stopped I'm sure."
