In a show of solidarity between cities and news teams rocked by terror, The Boston Globe sent pizza to the Manchester Evening News, which has led coverage of the bombing Monday night at an arena where Ariana Grande had just finished performing.
News outlets expressed how touched they were by the gesture and praised the Globe on Twitter for their caring and concern.
The Evening News was thankful for the pizza and the good wishes it represented.
The suicide bombing attack Monday night killed 22 and injured 119. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, and at least one other person was arrested for suspected involvement. The investigation is ongoing.
Boston was the site of a terror bombing in April 2013, when Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev detonated a device at the Boston Marathon finish line. Three people were killed.
