After two employees reported seeing what appeared to be man carrying a rifle, police on Thursday night searched a portion of the Boeing aircraft plant in Everett, Washington, but officers found nothing to substantiate the reports.

A number of Boeing workers were evacuated after the workers called 911..

The Associated Press reported police spokesman Aaron Snell as saying that after more than two hours the search was over. He said police feel confident "there is no threat to employees here at Boeing."

Snell says officers interviewed both people who called 911. He says Everett police and officers from several area departments searched.

He said the callers saw something suspicious and "did the right thing by calling 911."

Boeing tweeted that both police and company security completed their search and "are confident there is no threat."
