Bob Harper has revealed that he suffered a serious heart attack just two weeks ago that left him unconscious.

Harper, a fitness enthusiast and the host of “The Biggest Loser,” collapsed in a New York City gym two weeks ago during a workout, TMZ reported.

A doctor, who happened to be working out in the same gym, performed CPR on Harper.

Harper, 51, survived the incident and was taken to the hospital, but it was two days before he became conscious again.

He remains hospitalized in New York, where he’s been recovering for about eight days, and will not be able to travel back to his home in Los Angeles until air travel is cleared by his doctors.

According to Harper, suffering from a heart attack might have been inevitable, considering his mom died from a heart attack.

Harper is limited to walking for now, as doctors have advised him to refrain from any other types of exercise, the New York Daily News reported.

A rep of Harper’s commented on the incident, saying “It is very scary but runs in his family,” according to Us magazine.

Despite these remarks, another source told the magazine that there could be other reasons Harper suffered the heart attack, adding that the workout guru sometimes “pushes himself too hard.”

“The Biggest Loser” is in the middle of its 17th season, according to Fox News.

Despite Harper’s current health state, he’s still listed as the current host of the show, which airs on NBC.

When Harper first joined the show, he was a trainer on the cast, according to the New York Daily News.

Harper became the main host for the show in 2016 – a role that was previously held by Alison Sweeney.
