Bo Dietl's Impassioned Veterans Day Plea: 'Take Care of Our Veterans'

Monday, 10 November 2014 02:21 PM EST

Bo Dietl, the iconic former NYPD detective and Fox News contributor, appeared on "Imus in the Morning" this week to remind Americans everywhere why they should celebrate Veterans Day on Tuesday.

"Here's the deal, Don . . . What we got to all remember — and we forget real quick — from all the wars that we've been through . . . From Vietnam, how these guys were treated, to Afghanistan, to Iraq — all these heroes . . . tomorrow's the day that we should really truly honor them," he said.

"The only reason why we're able to sit here and talk . . . is because of these veterans. I love veterans and God bless veterans."

Dietl then segued to a harsh and passionate critique of President Barack Obama, urging him to institute policies to take better care of the men and women who risked their lives for their country.

"Take care of our veterans. They gave their lives, they gave their time to protect us and give us democracy," he said, spitting mad. "Why in the hell should they have to wait 30 days for something? . . . Let them go to every hospital and give the bill to Obama."

Dietl then challenged the new Republican Congress to draft a bill that would allow veterans to visit any hospital in the country at Obama's expense.
