Former Blue Angels commander Capt. Gregory McWherter was found guilty Tuesday of violating the military's code of justice for tolerating inappropriate sexual comments and pornographic images in the workplace.
The offensive actions include photos of naked women in the aircraft cockpits and "sexually charged, raunchy, and
homophobic humor" during his time in command, The Associated Press reported.

The results of the investigation were revealed Monday during nonjudicial proceedings convened in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the AP reported.
McWherter, who was relieved in April from his duty as executive officer of Naval Base Coronado in California, will receive a letter of reprimand in his permanent file.
The investigation concluded that McWherter “witnessed, condoned, and encouraged behavior that, while juvenile and sophomoric in the beginning, ultimately and in the aggregate,
became destructive, toxic and hostile," according to a 63-page Navy report.
According to CNN, offensive actions during McWherter’s command included the painting of male genitals on an airplane hangar roof, large enough to be seen by satellite and in Google Maps images.
McWherter completed a successful tour as commander of the Blue Angels from 2008 to 2010. He returned after his successor committed a safety violation in May 2011. The offenses occurred during his second stint between 2011 and 2012.
While
supporters launched a Facebook page backing McWherter, Twitter users shared disgusted reactions.
