Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas have gone their separate ways. The actors have called it quits after nearly a year because things were "complicated," a source revealed to People.
"Ben is no longer dating Ana," the source confirmed to the outlet in a report published Monday. "She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles-based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles."
A second insider said the split was "mutual and something that is completely amicable."
"They are in different points in their lives; there is deep love and respect there," the source said. "Ben continues to want to work on himself. He has three jobs lined up and he's a solid father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives."
Affleck and de Armas were first linked in March when they were spotted taking a trip to Cuba. By August rumors were swirling that the pair had moved in together after they were spotted moving suitcases to Affleck's $20 million Pacific Palisades mansion. A source later confirmed the news to The Sun, explaining that the "Batman" star was preparing the home for his "fiancee-in-waiting."
In the weeks leading up to the split, de Armas was making an effort to bond with Affleck's children, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8, who he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
"Ana seems to love being around his kids," a source previously told People. "Everyone has been getting along great. Ana is making an effort to get to know his kids."
