A bear was seen in a hot tub, lapping up a margarita and just having a "grand old time" in one man's backyard in California on Friday, Fox News reported.
Mark Hough of Altadena was celebrating the weekend's arrival by settling down outside to enjoy an afternoon margarita when the bear interrupted his quiet time by lumbering over his fence.
Startled, Hough retreated inside his house but the bear was not going to leave that easily, and instead headed straight for the unheated hot tub and plopped right in.
Hough grabbed his phone and recorded the intruder "bobbling away in the Jacuzzi enjoying himself," NBC Los Angeles noted.
The bear then climbed out of the hot tub and made a beeline for Hough's margarita, which he had left outside.
He described how the animal knocked the drink over then lapped it all up. The bear then climbed up a tree and took a nap.
Hough only realized that his bear friend had not in fact left the yard awhile later, while chatting to a neighbor, when he noticed oak leaves falling from one of his trees. Looking up, Hough saw the bear fast asleep in the branches.
"So he had his margarita, he had his Jacuzzi, and now he's ready for an hour nap," Hough said, according to NBC Los Angeles.
It turns out bears enjoy taking a quick dip in the pool.
A New Jersey man was recently surprised when he found a mother bear and her five clubs in his family swimming pool, Time noted.
In another incident, a Californian family's video of a mother bear and her cubs splashing around in their pool went viral, Mashable reported.
Meanwhile in North Vancouver an eager bear broke down a fence to get to a couple's pool and hot tub and helped itself to their birdfeeder.
