Many are asking if Barbara Bush is in Hillary Clinton's corner after the daughter of President George W. Bush attended a fundraiser for the Democrat presidential contender on Saturday night in Paris.
Bush appeared in a picture with Clinton's longtime aide Huma Abedin and others, reported CNN. The party was hosted by Abedin and Vogue magazine editor-in-chief Anna Wintour in connection with Fashion Week.
The photo with Bush and Abedin, the wife of disgraced Democrat politician Anthony Weiner, was posted by Lauren Santo Domingo, co-founder of the fashion website Moda Operandi, said CNN.
People magazine said one photo (above) included Vanity Fair's Derek Blasberg, Bush, Abedin, actress Dakota Fanning and Santo Domingo with the caption "Americans in Paris." Politico said Blasberg is a self-declared Democrat.
CNN said a George W. Bush spokesman did not respond to request for comment nor did aides for Clinton. Bush's twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, is a correspondent for NBC News.
Politico said the photo posted by Blasberg originally had the hashtag #werewithher but it was later removed.
If Barbara Bush really is with Clinton, she would not be the first family member to do so, according to Politico. Her grandfather, George H.W. Bush, is reportedly prepared to vote for Clinton, according to Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy and former Maryland lieutenant governor, said Politico.
