Shirlene Quigley, a 32-year-old backup dancer for Beyonce and Rihanna, among other stars, was reported missing Monday after last being seen getting on a bus in New York City early Sunday morning.
Quigley was seen at the Port Authority Bus Terminal around 1 a.m. Sunday, but has not been seen or heard from since, according to People.
Quigley has performed with many famous singers including Beyonce, Rihanna, Missy Elliott, and Jamie Foxx.
Rihanna posted an urgent message on her Instagram account Monday asking for help in finding Quigley. “This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!! My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her!” the singer wrote, asking anyone with information to notify the North Bergen Police Department.
Elliott also asked her Instagram followers for help, noting that Quigley was wearing a pink jacket and 3- or 4-inch heels when she was last seen.
Quigley’s father told NBC 4 New York he last spoke to his daughter on Friday, adding that she lives alone in North Bergen, New Jersey, teaching dance at two dance studios in Manhattan.
The dancer's car was found at one of the dance studios where she worked, and her phone was found at a bridal store in Chelsea.
According to NBC 4, Quigley reportedly told a friend to "get ready, it’s about to happen and I’m going to need you to sub for me." Additionally, her landlord told a friend that Quigley did not seem well after seeing her leave her home on Saturday afternoon.
Quigley has been a professional dancer since age 18 and has taught in dance studios around the world.
