Rep. Michele Bachmann outlined a conservative economic agenda Sunday that includes repealing Obamacare and deep spending cuts,
Politico reports.
“I think what we need to do is to cut government spending right now,” Bachmann said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Again, I think what we need to focus on more than anything is what will lead to job creation — and what will lead to job creation is taking the United States down from about the top corporate tax rate in the world — about 34 percent — down to something that is far more competitive.”
Bachmann strongly defended her opposition to raising the nation's $14.3 trillion debt ceiling, despite support for the compromise from President Barack Obama, GOP party leaders, and the business community.
“That's the judgment of the people of this country,” Bachmann said.
