Former pro baseball slugger Aubrey Huff has a few wild conspiracy theories about why California decided to enter lockdown once again amid a spike in cases of COVID-19. Taking to social media on Tuesday, the World Series champion rambled on about how it was a plot to have President Donald Trump thrown out of office and how PPE masks were "mind control devices."

"@GavinNewsom shut California down again. It’s time to take off the mind control devices & fight for your family, your business, & your freedom!" Huff wrote in a tweet. He also ranted on about the situation for over two minutes in a video included in his post.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results," Huff said. He pointed out that the coronavirus "didn't go away on the first lockdown" and things would not change now.

"This is nothing but a system of control in order to crash the economy to get Donald Trump out of office," Huff continued. "And, for those of you that can't see this, it drives me f---ing batsh-- crazy."

The pro athlete also called his followers "sheep" for wearing masks, which were "mind control devices that everyone was falling for."

Huff said he was prepared to take his chances with the coronavirus, which "has a 99.8% survival rate" than to rather "end up on the f---ing street no longer able to provide for my family."

California entered statewide lockdown on Monday. Strict measures now see closures of restaurants, bars and breweries, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, zoos and museums, and cardrooms. Furthermore, fitness centers, places of worship, offices "for non-critical infrastructure sectors" as well as personal care services, hair salons and barbershops would all be shuttered down for the duration of the lockdown.
