Apple headquarters glass walls were collided into by employees, leading the company to put stickers on the panels to prevent further incidents.

The San Francisco Chronicle learned about the crashes when it obtained transcripts of 911 calls that referenced three employees who injured themselves on the walls. Two of the calls were made on Jan. 2, and the other was made Jan. 4. One of the incidents required stitches.

Although the 911 calls do not specifically state that those who walked into the glass were talking on iPhones at the time, sources familiar with the incidents told Fortune that involvement with the phones may have been a factor.

The new building, called Apple Park, opened last year in Cupertino, California, and houses about 13,000 employees, Fortune reported. Offices inside the building are also enclosed in glass and are known as pods, intended to encourage collaboration.

Two of the reported incidents involved males in their 20s and the other was a middle-aged male, the Chronicle reported.

In another Chronicle article, a building official looking at the new building had expressed concern that employees would walk into the glass because other doors in the building that look similar were automatic.

State building codes require doors to be identifiable, the Chronicle reported. During the visit, a contractor walked into a glass wall. After the first three incidents in January, rectangular stickers were placed on the glass to identify it, and no incidents have occurred since.

Twitter users mostly found the situation humorous.
