Anthony Schlegel, assistant strength coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes, came off the sidelines during Saturday night's game against Cincinnati to nab a fan who ran onto the field, slamming him into the ground as the crowd cheered.

According to Cleveland.com, Schlegel, 33, is a former linebacker for Ohio, and concluded his career in 2005. From the looks of the epic tackle, however, it looks like he still has it.

Former Ohio State coach Earle Bruce commented from the press box that Schlegel was "the best tackler we've ever had" shortly after the take-down.

The Dallas Morning News reported that he was an all-state linebacker and state wrestling champion in high school, and went on to become a two-year letterman with the Buckeyes. He played alongside A.J. Hawk and Bobby Carpenter, who himself became a first-round draft pick for the Dallas Cowboys. Schlegel was drafted by the New York Jets, and later played for the Bengals.

Ohio State emerged with a 50-28 victory on Saturday, its 40th consecutive victory over an in-state opponent, according to USA Today.
