Angela Stoldt Accused of Trying to Cook Neighbor to Hide Death

By    |   Thursday, 20 November 2014 10:57 AM EST

After trying to cook her neighbor's dismembered body to hide evidence of his strangulation, a Florida woman is accused of putting his body parts in bags and throwing them in the trash.

Angela Stoldt tried to cremate James Sheaffer's body by putting several body parts in an oven and in pots on the stove, according to court documents obtained by an Orlando television station. When that didn't work, she turned to the trash.

A grand jury in Daytona Beach last week upgraded Stoldt's charges to first-degree murder from second degree murder in Sheaffer's death.

Law enforcement officials said Stoldt relied on Sheaffer for money, although their relationship was platonic, and that money was the motive for the murder.

She was being held without bond and it was unclear whether hired an attorney.
