When an Alabama man ordered shower curtain rings from Amazon, that was what he was expecting to find in the package delivered to him.

So imagine his surprise when he discovered what must be Amazon’s most bizarre and gross order mix-up ever. Instead of shower curtain ringss, the man opened his delivery and found a urine sample!

"I got an email Thursday morning saying the package had been delivered," the anonymous Tuscumbia resident told KFOR. "I opened it. And when I reached in and pulled it out [it was] some kind of urine specimen or something like that."

The bizarre order mix-up certainly came as a surprise to the man, who ordered the household items via the free two-day shipping option.

"My son was standing there watching me open it and he got a good laugh out of it," he said.

The urine sample was clearly labeled with a woman's name and birthday and was likely on its way to a lab for testing. However, when the man contacted Amazon a representative told him they did not want the sample back.

"They just said they were really sorry," the man said. The good news is he will still be getting his shower curtain rings. The bad news is he is stuck with the urine sample, which he is holding on to for a few days in case someone contacts him looking for it.

Every now and again the online retailer seems to get its deliveries mixed up. In some instances, such as this incident, they are bizarre. In other orders, they are just downright mysterious. As is the case for a Massachusetts couple who keep receiving free Amazon packages.

More than 20 boxes have been delivered to the couple's house, all addressed to the owner Mike Gallivan, but none come with a sender's names, receipts or invoices, The Chicago Tribune reported. The packages have contained everything from USB cords to Bluetooth speakers and a rechargeable dog collar. Amazon has launched an investigation into the matter.
