"All My Children" actor Alec Musser died at age 50, according to his fiancée, Paige Press, who confirmed the news Saturday as she paid tribute on Instagram.
"RIP to the love of my life," she wrote, according to Page Six. "I will never stop loving you. My heart is broken. Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy … You were the best fianceé I could of ever asked for."
No immediate cause of death was revealed.
Musser was best known for his portrayal of Del Henry in the long-running soap for 43 episodes from 2005 to 2007. He landed the role after winning the second season of "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" on SOAPnet.
Musser appeared in various TV shows and films including "Desperate Housewives," "Road to the Altar," "Rita Rocks," and "Grown Ups" starring Adam Sandler, who also remembered the actor on Instagram over the weekend.
"I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone," Sandler wrote. "Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of him and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person."
Musser, a New York native, also worked as a fitness model and bodybuilder. He was featured in several magazines, including "Men's Health," "Men's Workout," and "Exercise Health."
Musser showcased his health and fitness journey on Instagram. His final post was an image of him foil surfing, which entails riding a specialized hydrofoil surfboard that is elevated above the water's surface.
