Adam West and Burt Ward will return to the Bat Cave as Batman and Robin in 2016, exciting news for Gotham City fans who have been awaiting the next animated movie.
In an
exclusive announcement at the Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the weekend, Ward said people can “look forward to a new animated Batman full-length, 90-minute feature, coming out on the 50th anniversary.”
Ward seemed unsure whether it was an appropriate time to release the information, saying the pair’s agents were there. West chimed in, “Yes, we can. I tell them what to do,” he said in his trademark deep voice on the event video posted on YouTube.

Ward said the project was “one of possibly two, but for sure one, that Adam and I are going to be doing the voices for.”
West and Ward played Batman and Robin in the television show that aired from 1966 to 1968. Warner Bros. Entertainment released a DVD set of the series last year.
