Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end currently awaiting trial for murder, has been indicted in connection to two separate incidents at the Connecticut jail where he's been held since last year.

The district attorney's office announced Thursday that the 24-year-old is facing charges that stem from a February jail assault and a November threat at the Bristol County House of Correction, CNN reported.

The report accuses Hernandez of punching a fellow inmate as the man was being transported from the facility's infirmary on Feb. 25, and also threatening to shoot and kill a guard on Nov. 1.

"The February scuffle allegedly occurred when an inmate was being transported from the jail's infirmary," ESPN reported. "The man, identified as Andrew Booker, and Hernandez allegedly exchanged words. Hernandez allegedly punched Booker and knocked him to the ground. Neither was injured . . . [Hernandez also] allegedly threatened to shoot and kill a guard at the Bristol County jail after the guard blew the whistle on his schemes to try to get extra food from his jailers."

An arraignment date has not yet been set, CNN noted.

Hernandez is currently being held without bail after pleading not guilty to the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
