Eight-year-old drummer Yoyoka Soma is wowing both percussionists and Led Zeppelin fans alike with her cover of the group;s "Good Times Bad Times." John Bonham's drum part is among rock ‘n’ roll’s trickiest, but she pulls it off without a hitch.
The young Japanese prodigy has been picking up and slinging sticks since the age of 2 and currently plays in a family band, according to Rolling Stone.
After the publication reported on the young drummer’s extraordinary talents, she tweeted back that her ultimate goal is to someday be “On The Cover of the Rolling Stone,” just like the Dr. Hook song.
In the video, Soma smiles all the way through and appears to just be having fun.
The video went viral status after it was submitted in a “Hit Like a Girl” drumming contest, according to Billboard.
“Soma’s gleeful expression during her performance shows just how fun (and seemingly simple) it is for her to tackle one of the hardest drum solos of all time,” the publication reported.
People on social media thought the young drummer was both talented and adorable.
