The 105 Freeway that runs through southern Los Angeles County was shut down for several hours Thursday night after a man threatened to jump off an overpass, police said.
As local authorities responded to the threat, thousands of drivers were stopped in both directions on the 105 Freeway. Drivers on the side of the road posed for selfies to kill the time,

Around 5:30 p.m. PST, California Highway Patrol Sgt. Joe Reveles said multiple units responded to the scene. Lanes were not reopened until after 10 p.m. PST,
CBS Los Angeles reported.
According to Metro officials, the closure also affected the Metro Green Line between Long Beach and Lakewood boulevards, stranding many shuttle passengers,
the Press Telegram reported.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken into custody by responding officers.
