The Canaveral Star's berth at the port is empty after creditors repossessed the ship.
Court documents indicate the operators of the cruises were $950,000 in arrears on payments for the ship. The company's office has been closed.
Port Authority officials had been trying to evict the Canaveral Star since shortly after the cruises began in June when they learned the nature of the entertainment on board. To avoid local laws banning nude dancing, the ship would sail out three miles to international waters before the adult entertainment began.
The ship could accommodate up to 150 passengers and 20 dancers. The business apparently failed due to lack of interest in the cruises.
Port Authority spokesman Don Molitor said the nude dancing did not fit with the family values of the other cruise ships using the port, which include the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic.
The Canaveral Star's operators had sued the Port Authority for the right to continue to operate there. Port rules are being amended to prevent further adult entertainment businesses from operating there.
