"I don't feel anything other than optimistic, and the team down in Tallahassee feels that way also," he said at a news conference.
He said he and his lawyers were confident the Democrat-appointed Florida Supreme Court would overturn Monday's ruling by a Democrat circuit court judge.
"The effort I have under way is simply to make sure that all the votes are counted," he said, neglecting to mention, as usual, Democrat efforts to exclude the military vote and absentee ballots in Seminole County.
Gore said he was
troubled by claims that black voters in Florida were impeded as they made their way
to the polls, though he admitted he knew nothing about any basis for such claims.
