The concerted effort since that time to disparage the BSA has been an unprecedented attack on perhaps the finest youth organization in the nation, which has at its core the belief in promoting traditional notions of high moral character, decency and strong values.
As one who had the indelibly positive experience of having worked hard – with the support of dedicated parents and Scout leaders – to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, such vicious and ‘politically correct’ rhetoric evokes feelings of resentment and umbrage at such an outrageous attempt to bring about the outright destruction of Scouting.

By exerting inordinate political pressure, a vocal minority has succeeded in bullying a number of local governments, schools, nonprofits and businesses to withdraw funding and support from the Boy Scouts, though these weak-kneed groups are given much greater publicity than their actual numbers represent.

What is going on here?
We have a disgraced group of local Olympic officials offering bribes in violation of International Olympic Committee rules in order to secure the selection of Salt Lake City as the site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
And this same group is now apparently barring participation by the premier youth organization in America, because a relatively few members of a minority group have implicitly threatened negative publicity?
This is wrong.
And it represents yet a further perversion of what is right and correct in America.
Such a scrambling of values can only be attributed to the very same corruption of not just the
Yes, Bill Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Al Gore, and scores of others emboldened by their misdeeds, have all contributed to the debasing of our system of laws and values for the sole benefit of their own gain and avoidance of any accountability or personal responsibility for their actions.
This, in short, is the Clinton "legacy" – a sorry, tattered history of lies, corruption, deceit and law breaking.
The resiliency of the true American spirit can only be rediscovered and rededicated with a renewed commitment by people who cherish our ideals to stand up, tall, for traditional notions of right and wrong.
Leading the way will be the Boy Scouts of America.
For that they should be held up as a shining example of the very best in America, representing the vanguard in promoting the values that made us a great people and a great nation.
