Their staffers quickly compiled a few votes and statements made by Mr. Ashcroft through a long career as Missouri attorney general, governor and U.S. senator.

The shame of it all is that elections are not allowed to decide things anymore. Nowadays, the losing side just keeps on campaigning and trying to undo or overthrow the outcome of an election.
No wonder so many people are fed up with politics and government.
Let us hope this administration can govern effectively and thus reduce the cynicism.
