Former Secretary of State John Kerry waded into the massive Women's March on Washington Saturday with his pet dog Ben – getting a big welcome from protesters.

Ben was named after the country's first diplomat, Benjamin Franklin, Kerry explained in 2014, when he took his then-year-old "diplomutt" to a news briefing on a "Take Your Children To Work" day.

He also lugged Ben along for his last press briefing as secretary of state.
