Ballot data in Milwaukee indicates illegal activity by Democrats to such an extent that it could change the vote in Wisconsin, a member of President Donald Trump’s reelection team told the Washington Examiner on Monday.

Biden’s advantage in the state is approximately 20,500 votes, but two Trump campaign officials said there are enough irregularities to flip Wisconsin to the president, which would dramatically change the entire race.

A source said the distribution of the ballots in support of  Biden violates Benford's Law,  an analytical framework used by experts when viewing a set of randomized data points.

Although some statisticians question the applicability of the Benford Law, an adviser to the Trump campaign said there are indications of an artificial distribution of votes in favor of Biden.

"If there's fire where there's smoke, it'll come out during the recount," he said.

Last week, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos called for a comprehensive review of the state's elections processes.

Trump deputy campaign manager Justin Clark emphasized that “We’ve already announced that we're going to seek a statewide recount in Wisconsin, and we plan to do so. We expect that the canvass, the initial canvass will be done Monday or Tuesday. And then that process will begin.”

However, former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican and informal adviser to the Trump campaign, said he doubts the president could end up carrying the state, writing in a tweet that 20,000 votes is a high hurdle, citing that in a “recount in 2011 race for WI Supreme Court, there was a swing of 300 votes. After recount in 2016 Presidential race in WI, [Trump's] numbers went up by 131."
